In this position you will bring together multiple stakeholders and budget owners in order to manage and oversee the financial performance of our projects in accordance with the underlying contracts, including job costing, cost allocation, revenue and billings. 

 

What you’ll do

  • Develop and manage cost reports, and project proformas monthly 
  • Monitor project costs, reports and explain variances
  • Monitor, review, and reconcile: budgets, holdback accounts, construction loan draw requests and invoices
  • Prepare project cash flow and cost projections
  • Review monthly accounts payable related to project entities
  • Prepare monthly bank and loan reconciliations
  • Prepare financial statements and ensure compliance with accounting standards and procedures for multiple project entities
  • Prepare and analyze working papers for project entities
  • Ensure that financial information provided is timely and relevant for effective decision making
  • Track and reconcile intercompany and interdivisional accounts
  • Ad-hoc analysis and projects as required

 

You have

  • A Professional Accounting Designation and/or 5+years of experience in project or job cost accounting capacity
  • Advanced Excel skills and strong working knowledge of project accounting software such as AX 2012
  • Proven ability to work with multiple projects
  • Real Estate industry experience (preferred)
  • Excellent communication and people skills
