Description

Reporting to the Manager, Capital Planning & Reporting, supporting the Pipelines & Liquids Global Business Unit, this role is responsible for the planning and analysis of financial information to support decision-making, support regulatory requirements and consolidating financial forecasts on a monthly, quarterly, business plan, and regulatory basis. Communication and collaboration skills will be required as relationships will be built with all levels of the organization.

Responsibilities

  • Forecasting overhead pool costs which integrate into the overall operational planning Business Plan process.
  • Analyze cost recoveries and prepare recommendations for rate changes or methodologies.
  • Collaborate with Leaders to prepare and analyze forecasts.
  • Develop reports and presentation material analyzing and explaining variances between actual and forecasts and prior year actual as required for senior management or internal customer service.
  • Assist in other management reporting and analysis as required.

Qualifications

  • A professional accounting designation or advanced degree (CMA, CGA, CA, CPA).
  • Three to five years of related experience and sound knowledge of accounting principles including IFRS.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills that allow you to create partnerships with all levels of the organization.
  • Proven record of driving results and process improvements.
  • Previous experience with budgeting and forecasting.
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks and set priorities.
  • Knowledge of utility concepts beneficial.
  • Intermediate to advanced proficiency in Excel and experience with using SmartView and OTBI.
  • Experience with Oracle Financials, Hyperion Planning and Microsoft Access would be an asset.
