This Accountant position available through Robert Half Finance might be for you if you're looking to grow your career with a thriving company. Responsibilities
- Resolve discrepancies, and create correction documents if needed, by checking all possible sources of disagreement, recreating likely actions, and identifying the effect on other accounts
- Carry out additional related duties and help with special projects on an as-needed basis
- Code documents using the proper classification of expenditure codes and accounting codes
- Handle accounts payable tasks: vendor invoices and disbursement filing, A/P invoice matching & filing
- Post financial information to journals and ledgers
- Create statements and reports that require the use of a number of sources
- Assist Accounts Receivable with processing daily invoices/credit, applying cash receipts, and collecting past due balances
- Handle general accounting tasks: help with G/L account reconciliation and month-end closing, other ad hoc projects
Requirements of the Position
- Bank reconciliations experience desired
- Accounts Payable (AP) experience
- Accounts Receivable (AR) experience
- Bank Deposit experience required
- 2+ years of accounting experience required
- Diploma/Degree in Accounting or related field preferred
- Accurate, swift, data entry abilities
- Spreadsheet and ERP system experience preferred
- Be able to prioritize workload and perform in a fast-paced and challenging environment
