Description

The Canadian Mental Health Association Edmonton (CMHA Edmonton) is a provincial charitable non-profit with the mission of building healthy and resilient communities by providing mental health services, education and crisis intervention.  A mental health crisis, suicide and poor mental health can be overwhelming for individuals and their loved ones:  we offer hope and a path forward.

CMHA Edmonton services and programs:

  • 24/7 crisis line, 211 line and online chat provide immediate support
  • Housing for people living with mental illness and/or low income builds independence
  • Advocacy, peer supports and family members’ programs help people live in recovery
  • Education on grief, mental health, mental illness, recovery and suicide increases awareness and reduces stigma

We are there for anyone who is in crisis or affected by mental health issues or mental illness:  to get connected to help. 

Qualifications

CMHA Edmonton is currently seeking volunteer members to join our Board of Directors who possess a passion for advocating for those with lived experience of mental illness in our community.  Our ideal candidates will be from any of the following areas of expertise/professionalism:

  • Accounting/Audits
  • Commercial Real Estate
  • Investments
