Director of Finance

Here’s how you will contribute as the Director of Finance within our organization:

• Develop, integrate and execute the overall financial management and accountability strategy for a non-for-profit organization with a complex funding model;
• Serve as a financial advisor to the Executive Director, leadership team and at times, the Board of Directors, on all matters related to short term and long term planning;
• Take the lead role in all matters related to financial reporting, accounting, budgeting, payroll and cash flow management;
• Establish and uphold appropriate accounting practices and internal control mechanisms to ensure sound financial reporting and proper stewardship of funds;
• Oversee and support a high performing finance team.

This challenging and rewarding Full Time (40 hours per week) position starts as soon as we find the right person.

Now, here’s what you need to get an interview:

• Chartered Professional Accountant designation preferred, education and experience equivalences may be considered
• Minimum of three years of related experience
• Outstanding interpersonal, communication and planning skills
• Strong business acumen, adaptability and attention to detail
• Clear, current Criminal Record Check, and Intervention Record Check (within the last 6 months)
