Volunteer Treasurer

Description of Charity/Foundation:
We provide needy youth the opportunity to attend a sponsored week of summer camp to learn fishing, conservation, survival skills and Canadian studies.

Description of Role:
Assistant Treasurer — Committee Position
Duties:
1. Assist Treasurer & Bookkeeper on all financial transactions, reports, reconciliations;
2. Attend in person quarterly charity meetings &/or by request of Treasurer ad-hoc meeting;
3. Assist filing of federal and government related financial reports;
4. Reports on outstanding/upcoming expense and revenues;
5. Review of assets and liabilities to determine the cash requirements for budget controls;
6. Audit expenses and reconciliation of expenses including revenues;
7. Provides leadership,dedication and contribution towards financial health of the charity’s fundraising goals established.
8. Minimum average of 10 hours of volunteerism per month, remote work is the majority of the work.
Other volunteer opportunities are available if like to email your interest on how you would like to contribute volunteer time.

Certification/Education Required:
Preference will be given to CPA but this is also ideal for students.
