Come and join the Joint Secretariat as the Director of Finance & Administration (2 year term position)

Are you passionate about protecting the wildlife and environment within the Inuvialuit Settlement Region (ISR)? Do you love numbers and building teams?

The Director of Finance & Administration is a member of the Senior Leadership Team and accountable for providing strategic and operational leadership to both the Finance and Administration teams.

The focus is on providing high quality, timely operations within the Finance & Administration areas that enable the rest of the Joint Secretariat, and associated committees, to function efficiently and effectively. The key outcomes will be efficient and effective processes / systems and capacity development in staff.

The successful candidate will at least five years’ experience in a senior Finance position as well as their CPA designation. Along with their strong analytical skills, they will be flexible, collaborative and able to build strong teams. The Joint Secretariat is open to candidates that have a relevant combination of knowledge and experience in lieu of formal education.

Preference is given to candidates with knowledge of the Inuvialuit Final Agreement, prior living and/or working experience in Northern Canada and a proven ability to work independently and without close supervision in a co-operative environment.
