We are a well-established public practice accounting firm in Cold Lake. We are seeking an accounting technician to join our team.

As an accounting technician, your day to day activities could include:

  • Preparation of corporate working paper files, including preparation of financial statements
  • Preparation of corporate and personal income tax returns
  • Occasional bookkeeping duties
  • Preparation of payroll, GST returns, tax slips
  • Responding to CRA on a client’s behalf
  • Client management

The ideal candidate for this position would possess:

  • A diploma or degree in accounting
  • Public practice accounting experience
  • Excellent computer skills
  • Familiarity with Caseware, Profile Tax software, Sage Accounting software
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to multi-task and work under pressure
  • Detail oriented with a high level for accuracy
  • Strong inter-personal skills to communicate with other staff within the firm

Preference will be given to those applicants who have completed or are enrolled in the CPA Program.
