- Perform/assist with the audit of company financial records.
- Oversee budget creation and analysis and financial management.
- Forecast revenue and analyze expenditures.
- Perform duties related to bookkeeping, preparation of government audits, taxes, and financial planning.
- Report financial information to management.
- Advise management on tax ramifications of business decisions
- Act as a consultant in areas such as compensation, benefits, and asset protection.
- Participate in strategic planning, fraud prevention, and budget development.
Requirements:
- 5 + years of Canadian audit experience
- B. Com or similar degree from an accredited Canadian post-secondary institution
- No CPA designation required.
- Caseware/Case view experience
- Strong computer skills (Excel a must)
- Experience using Sage 50, Quickbooks, and Sage 300.
- Knowledge of Canadian payroll is essential
- Strong analytical, accounting, and financial reporting skills
- Able to handle a diversity of accounting activities with multiple projects and deadlines
- Experience with government granting processes and financial reporting
- Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
- Applicant must be able to travel as required.
