Director, Finance

Reporting to the Managing Director of Mowi Canada West, and with an ongoing relationship with Mowi’s corporate head office in Norway, the Director, Finance is a key member of the Senior Management team. They will have full oversight of the finance function, as well as information technology, payroll, purchasing, and procurement, and be accountable for ensuring the development and implementation of the financial strategy of the Business Unit, in line with the overall Business Unit strategy and Corporate guidelines. As a statutory director, the incumbent ensures that the Business Unit complies with all Corporate and local requirements regarding accounting, financial reporting, and taxes.

 

As the ideal candidate, you are a results driven, assertive leader with superior analytical skills. A true team player with the strategic ability to contribute to the overall success of an organization, you bring senior financial management experience, ideally within a medium to large resource production or manufacturing operation, and a proven background in leading a full- service finance and administration team. Possessing an accounting designation, and preferably having worked for a publicly traded organization, you have demonstrated the ability to provide sound management advice to senior managers in order to guide the business decisions of an organization.
