Chief Executive Officer

Chiropractic Association of Alberta (CAA)

The Organization

The Chiropractic Association of Alberta was incorporated in August 2021. It is established because of the Government of Alberta (through Bill 46) mandating that health profession regulators fully separate their association-like functions. This separation ensures the future regulatory body or college has a focused mandate to protect the public and the profession’s association can focus on supporting and promoting the profession’s interests including serving members.

It is expected that the new association will be fully independent from the Alberta College and Association of Chiropractors (ACAC) by January 1, 2022. As a result, the Association is excited about moving forward with the recruitment and selection of its first CEO. The CEO will lead and implement the recently developed strategic plan of the new organization with a key focus on maximizing the engagement of members and building the reputation of the profession as a key medical provider to Albertans.

As a key advisor, thought leader and advocate for the CAA and Chiropractors in Alberta, you will also be responsible for ensuring the Board is well informed and prepared to make long term planning decisions that will result in optimum outcomes for the profession, the member, and the health of Albertans.

Fundamental to this role is the responsibility to initiate, develop and maintain effective and collaborative partnerships with both members and external stakeholders to advance the various strategic initiatives of the profession.

Finally, as the first CEO you will have the exciting task of developing, leading, and overseeing a professional, motivated, highly engaged team that will be responsible for operational delivery of all strategic initiatives.
