Based in St. John’s, Newfoundland and Labrador, the Director, Finance, Commercial and Administration (Director) will play a key role in the financial and commercial stewardship of all Crosbie business units, including Crosbie member companies. Reporting to the Group Vice President, Finance and Commercial, they are a hands-on, multi-faceted leader who brings strategic financial and commercial acumen to this important leadership role. The Director will have specific responsibility and accountability for the oversight of corporate finance, budgeting, forecasting, performance management, contracts and stakeholder management, financial planning, internal controls, treasury, tax planning and procurement. They will ensure financial stewardship and reporting adhere to the highest standards of integrity, transparency, accountability, and compliance with all applicable laws and regulations. The incumbent will also lead and be responsible for the commercial management activities for all Industrial Services businesses and be a sought-after provider of commercial expertise throughout the organization. Focused on constantly looking for better ways to run the business and continuous improvement, the Director will ensure Crosbie has the financial structure and capability to achieve plans and overall business strategy.

As the ideal candidate, you will have a post-secondary finance or accounting degree paired with a CPA designation and an equivalent combination of education and/or professional experience will be considered. Exceptional leadership and influencing capabilities at an enterprise-wide level – you have a demonstrated ability to motivate, inspire, and hold others accountable, with proven success in a deadline driven environment. You have experience in the preparation of financial statements, annual budgets, and monthly/quarterly forecasts. You also bring a commercial mindset with experience in contract management. You have a high attention to detail with excellent verbal and written communication skills. You have successfully leveraged resources across functions and at all levels in an organization to achieve an organization’s goals and objectives. Also, highly desired, is merger and acquisition related activity. Experience working within an industrial environment, including marine, oil and gas, and/or construction industries is an asset. Bilingual with ability to read, write and speak French is an asset.
