Senior Accountant

The Responsibilities

  • Planning and conducting audit and review procedures
  • Preparing and analyzing business financial statements and reports
  • Identifying opportunities to help business clients by providing advisory services
  • Preparing and reviewing corporate and personal tax returns for private business owners
  • Collaborating with other accounting staff and providing mentorship and team leadership

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance or business administration
  • CPA designation considered an asset
  • An equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered

Experience

  • 5 years experience in public practice is preferred
  • Proven ability to recognize planning opportunities for individuals and their businesses
  • Knowledge and practical experience in Canadian tax– personal, corporate, excise
  • Advanced knowledge and practical experience in Canadian GAAPs – ASPE and ASNFPO

Software:

  • Profile, Cantax, TaxPrep, Caseware/Caseview, Jazzit, Excel, Outlook, SharePoint
