Analyst/Senior Analyst, Valuations - Ascend

The Responsibilities

  • Assist in execution of business valuation engagement
  • Conduct industry and economic research
  • Assist with financial analysis and preparation of excel models for valuation
  • Support the writing of reports for client delivery
  • Support the delivery of high-quality client service by ensuring client needs are responded in a timely and efficient manner
  • Ability to prepare and analyze financial statements
  • Contribute to the development of new ideas and approaches to improve work processes
  • Promote regular attendance, balanced lifestyle and high standard of team wellness

Education and Credentials

  • Bachelor’s degree, preferably with a specialization in accounting and/or finance
  • Recent graduate with approximately 1 – 3 years in financial analysis and/or accounting work
  • Enrolment in the CPA, CBV or CFA program preferred.
  • Strong computer literacy including effective working skills of Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint
  • Experience in a professional services firm is an asset
  • An equivalent combination of education and experience will also be considered
  • Recent graduates who want to attain the CBV designation will also be considered
