Business Analyst

Responsibilities:

The successful candidate will be accountable to the Manager, Financial Reporting and working with management of specific areas the key responsibilities include:
 
• Assisting with the budgeting, forecasting and monitoring systems and processes in support of decision-making, and develop strategic opportunities for business improvements;
• Recommend and implement change, identify training requirements, develop business process improvement, carryout business case analysis, identify potential risks, assist in the development of business plans;
• Assisting with strategic financial analysis as required to drive improved decision making;
• Preparation, analysis, and presentation of monthly, quarterly, and annual operating results to Deans, Budget officers and Director, Financial Services;
• Developing and maintaining an effective working relationship with internal and external stakeholders;
• Providing sound advice and guidance to areas you support on all account matters including financial systems, record keeping, analysis and reporting;
• Under the direction of the Director, Financial Services and working with the Finance team assist in the formulation of system-wide accounting policies, procedures and controls;

Required Qualifications:

• Professional accounting designation (CMA, CGA, CA, CPA), plus 3 to 5 years of business management experience. Experience and/or additional qualifications in the use of business intelligence tools and applications 
• Strong analytical and computer skills 
• Ability to work in a collaborative, team environment as well as independently 
• Proven organizational, communication and interpersonal skills
• Participate in the college’s COVID-19 vaccination program, which requires proof of vaccination or a negative PCR or rapid test. Rapid tests must be within 72 hours and from an approved laboratory/pharmacy. Self administered tests are not accepted. 
 

Salary: Starting from $72,414 to $85,194 per annum; commensurate with education and experience.
