Position Summary
Reporting to the COO, the Accounts Receivable/Accountant is responsible for organizing all field and material tickets for each job, processing month-end, and completing other general accounting duties.
Job Duties & Responsibilities
- Assists with answering the phone, directing calls, and taking messages
- Works with managers to coordinate invoicing the clients
- Completes bank reconciliations in a timely manner for the month-end to be closed
- Responsible for month-end and year-end completion
- Receives client payments, such as cheques or EFT's, inputs them into the accounting system and deposits them into the bank
- Enters all increase and decrease adjustments into the accounting system to reflect payments and deposits with in the bank GL
- Ensures invoices are sent in the mail or submits them through Open Invoice or Cortex
- Coordinates with consultants for signatures and approval of each invoice
- Receives all the client payments and completes the monthly bank reconciliations
- Manages the spread sheets for all loans
- Maintains emails and spreadsheets
- Organizes and files paper invoices and other hardcopy work
- Provides additional administrative support as needed

Education & Experience
· Minimum of 4 years accounts receivable experience or equivalent required
- Post-secondary education in Accounting or Administration required
- Experience with accounting software is required
- Full cycle accounting experience is required
