Tax Specialist - Temporary 14 months

Job Overview:
Reporting to the Director, Corporate Finance the successful candidate will be responsible for preparing the consolidated tax provisions, preparing corporate tax returns, and working with external tax auditors.
 

Position Responsibilities:
•Prepares federal and corporate income tax returns for Kingston Midstream Limited and all associatedcorporate entities
•Prepares quarterly and annual consolidated tax provisions necessary for shareholder reporting includingbeing the main contact point for the taxation audit team
•Reviews monthly PST, GST, and federal and provincial fuel tax filings
•Prepares federal and state US corporate income tax return for US entity
•Responds to and addresses any taxation audits as required
•Liaises with the parent company tax group related to reporting to ensure corporate tax initiatives areconsistent
•Provides leadership in areas of taxation associated with corporate acquisition and disposition activities
•Provides research support for all direct and indirect tax related matters including payroll
•Supports year-end audit process including financial statement review

Skills and Qualifications:
•Minimum of 5 years’ experience in corporate taxation
•CPA Designation
•Completion of In-Depth Tax Program
•Experience in oil & gas is a definite asset
•Excellent interpersonal skills, with proven ability to build relationships and collaborate with all levels of theorganization
•Results driven with a history of delivering quality and timely work with an understanding of the importanceof meeting deadlines and achieving targets
•Strong attention to detail
