Temporary Associate Superintendent, Business and Finance

Wild Rose School Division is seeking a dynamic professional who is passionate

Temporary Associate Superintendent, Business and Finance. 

The term of this position is anticipated to be October 17, 2022 to November 30, 2023.  

Our Division

Wild Rose School Division serves the communities of Rocky Mountain House, Drayton Valley, Caroline, Leslieville, Condor and Breton. We have 18 schools that serve approximately 4,400 students across 2,612 square miles.

The Position

The Associate Superintendent, Business and Finance is the Chief Financial Officer of the Board. In addition, the Associate Superintendent, Business and Finance maintains responsibility for Operation and Maintenance, Transportation, Capital Plan, Records, Insurance and Freedom of Information and Protection of Privacy (FOIP). 

The Associate Superintendent, Business and Finance is directly responsible and accountable to the Superintendent.

 The Candidate

Wild Rose School Division is seeking an energetic and progressive leader with a commitment to public education and to the Division’s mission, beliefs, and priorities.

This individual will have a strong work ethic, highly analytical, detail-oriented and be committed to excellence and continuous improvement, and will ensure accountability of self and others.  A proactive self-starter who can work well under pressure and with a team or individually.

The candidate will have demonstrated integrity, exemplary interpersonal, organizational, technological, communication, and conflict resolution skills and have to proactively represent

the Division and its interests with Alberta Education, Alberta Infrastructure and other stakeholders. 

The selected candidate will have a master of business administration degree (MBA) or an accounting designation (CPA). In addition, the candidate should have a minimum of four years successful senior level financial management experience, preferably in school business. 

A base salary of $150,000 to $160,000 per year plus a health benefit package is provided.
