Blakley* Chartered Professional Accountant is a family-owned accounting office based in Airdrie that specializes in corporate and personal tax for owner managed businesses. The motto of the office is to provide our clients with a personable yet professional experience.

Role

We are looking for a full-time senior accountant to join our dynamic workplace. Duties involve but are not limited to the following:

• Prepare Notice to Reader and Review Engagements, including completion of all working papers, adjusting journal entries and financial statements
• Complete personal and corporate tax returns, GST returns, T4, T5, T5018 slips
• Communicate in a professional and effective manner with clients and colleagues

Qualifications

The ideal candidate would have the following credentials and competencies:

• 3+ years of accounting experience working on the above-described tasks
• Professional accounting designation is not required but an asset
• Commitment to quality service and work
• Professional ethics and integrity
• Time-management skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks
• Sense of humor
