Pinnacle Lifestyles has an immediate need for a Corporate Accountant on a full-time basis to join our team. The Corporate Accountant will be responsible for contributing to the day-to-day financial-related activities of the company under the direction of the Controller and VP Finance.

Responsibilities and Duties

  • Perform day-to-day management of financial accounts for multiple entities
  • Assist with financial statements and working papers preparation
  • Provide financial assistance for decision making in a timely manner
  • Apply accounting principles to analyze financial information
  • Ensure financial transactions are performed in compliance with company policies
  • Prepare accurate and timely account reconciliations and financial management reports
  • Ensure accurate recording and analysis of revenues and expenses
  • Analyze financial information to prepare periodic reporting
  • Perform accounting functions such as revenue and asset accounting, payroll and cost analysis
  • Manage bookkeeping and financial systems
  • Update accounting systems in line with latest computer technology
  • Provide advice on revenue and expenditure trends financial commitments and cash flow
  • Develop solutions to resolve accounting discrepancies and other financial problems/issues
  • Provide continuous support of budget and forecast activities
  • Assist in ad-hoc reporting, analysis and projects as required
  • This position will be based in our head office in Calgary

Job Requirements

  • 2+ years experience of full-cycle accounting experience
  • University degree in a related field
  • Goal-oriented, intention to pursue professional designation preferred
  • Previous experience working in an accounting role in the hospitality, construction or manufacturing industries considered an asset
  • Experience working with POS systems an asset
  • Proficient Microsoft Office Suite, notably Excel
  • Strong problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work well independently
  • Desire to work in a fast-paced entrepreneurial environment
  • Demonstrated analytical and organizational skills
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to work well under pressure, meet strict deadlines and respond to inquiries promptly
