EDMONTON CHAPTER OF CPA’S VOLUNTEER EXECUTIVE OPPORTUNITY

Overview

The Edmonton Chapter of CPA’s supports the CPA profession in Edmonton, providing monthly networking events via luncheons, networking, and webinars.  

We are seeking Executive Volunteers to fill roles, which provides an excellent opportunity to establish personal and professional contact with other CPA members and candidates.

Duties/Responsibilities

• Planning and holding monthly breakfast or luncheon speaker events, as well as a variety of other social, networking, and professional development events throughout the year including a Golf Tournament and Annual CPA Night Out.  

• Own one of many voluntary roles available within the Executive, such as Communications, Treasury, Speakers Committee, Facilities, Golf Committee, Night Out Committee, and Sponsorships 

• Provide leadership and oversight in enhancing the CPA brand through executing various ad hoc project deliverables 

• Participate in monthly meetings and presentations 

Requirements

Ideal candidates would be:  

• Engaged members who bring a broad range of relevant experience, and are Members in Good Standing with the society

• Reflect the diversity of the membership of CPA Alberta

• Possess a demonstrated ability to make a significant contribution at the Board level.

• Willing to “dig in” on details to assist on presenting events

• Resident within the Edmonton Metro area
