Are you a Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA), working towards the CPA designation, or an accounting professional with experience in audit, tax administration or the oil and gas industry? Do you have knowledge of Alberta's corporate tax, commodity tax or royalty regimes and enjoy challenging work? The Tax and Revenue Administration (TRA) division is looking for auditors for our audit team. We are an enthusiastic, goal-orientated, and knowledgeable team – join us!
Reporting to a Senior Manager in the audit branch, you will conduct desk and field audits and reviews, of low and medium complexity, involving a variety of corporate tax, commodity tax or royalty programs. You will be required to perform audit planning, sample selection, developing audit programs, gaining a comprehension of the auditee’s individual accounting processes, and completion of substantive audit testing. You will use your extensive knowledge and audit skills to ensure that returns are reported accurately under the Acts and Regulations administered by the TRA Audit branch.
