Senior Financial Reporting Analyst
Great North Wellhead & Frac (a Dril-Quip Company)
Great North, a Dril-Quip Company, is currently searching for a Senior Financial Reporting Analyst. Reporting directly to the Controller, this role is working on financial reporting requirements for Great North Equipment and supporting Dril-Quip requirements for Great North Equipment as a subsidiary of a US public company.
Location: Edmonton based
Salary: Commensurate with experience
Type: Full-time Permanent
Schedule: Monday to Friday, 8 hour shift, Overtime required as needed

RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Act as a key contributor to various financial reporting responsibilities, including monthly and quarterly reporting packages, quarterly and annual stand-alone statutory financial statements, and ad-hoc analysis.
- Work with Dril-Quip corporate accounting team and internal audit on US GAAP compliance, SOX controls compliance, and general financial reporting requirements.
- Work with Dril-Quip on consolidation process and reporting, including integration of reporting software.
- Support month-end process, including analysis and journal entries.
- Work collaboratively with other Finance team members, specifically to meet reporting deadlines and improve existing processes.
- Assist Senior Leaders with ad-hoc projects as needed.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor level University Degree required
- Professional designation (CPA) required
- 1 – 3 years of post-designation experience preferred
- Accounting firm and public company experience is an asset.
- Advanced proficiency in excel
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work in a team environment as well as independently.
- Service oriented with strong customer service and problem-solving skills.
SKILLS
- Ability to build positive relationships and effectively communicate with a variety of stakeholders.
- Interest in learning about the business and operations and combining that knowledge with financial and analytic skills to provide insights to business.
- Problem solving and critical thinking
- An interest in reporting & ERP systems, processes, and continuous improvement
- Strong attention to detail is essential in order to ensure accuracy and integrity of all financial data.
- Strong organizational skills.
